Futures by Design Inc. is passionate about helping people move forward in their career journey.

  • To train and support unemployed clients in their career planning and job search through one on one coaching, workshop facilitation, career event planning and a variety of career programs.
  • To bring career professionals with extensive academic and real world experience to a diverse clientele notably immigrants, youth, baby boomers, persons with disabilities, and aboriginals.
  • To support clients in taking the 'next step' in their career journey by providing accurate needs assessment, appropriate information and creating connections in the community.
  • To connect individuals with community so they may find, and maintain, suitable employment, by increasing their job search skills and knowledge of the labour market.



Lynn Berry


Futures by Design Inc.'s
President, Lynn J. Berry, has over 10 years in the career development field providing one on one service, group facilitation, event planning and program management services. She has an Honours Degree in Recreation/Business Option from the University of Waterloo, a Certificate in Career Development from the University of Calgary and is working on a Certificate in Intercultural Studies from UBC. Lynn is also a graduate of Leadership Calgary and Retire to the Life You Design Program.

Lynn has a multi-track career working with a variety of organization such as Alberta Human Services, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Bow Valley College, GlobalFest, InsideOut Group, Spread the Love, Youth in Motion. Lynn is also the Co-Chair of the 21st Century Learning Leadership Forum – an innovative connection for those interested in creating a Learning Society http://21centurylearning.ca

Previously Lynn has been an instructor at the University of Calgary in the Career Certificate program, Program Committee Chair at The Career Show, Program Chair for Building Tomorrow Today (BTT) Alberta's Career Development Consultation's and on the Career Development Association of Alberta (CDAA) executive for several years. Lynn is the recipient of the Alberta Centennial Medal awarded for ‘making a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, their community and to Alberta’.
